Inspiration Hunting: Spotlight On Dacha Interiors
I first met Lauren J Alexander when we worked together at Bergdorf Goodman on the Decorative Home floor. She was the floor manager and handled client relations, the selling team and oversaw special events that took place on the floor. I was the visual manager of non-ready-to-wear, so there were times that we partnered on events or with client experiences. We quickly connected and built a strong friendship, but beyond that I grew to understand that she is a unique individual with a talent for customer service and client experience. She also has fantastic style, taste and a discerning eye after many years in luxury. Fast forward 5 years and she's developed an amazing brand with both the design, and retail business based in Manhattan Beach, CA.
DACHA IS...
Essentially a California brand, DACHA embodies the values of its namesake which, although derived from a Russian word, is very much a universal concept and embraced nowhere more than in California. Our belief at DACHA is that one’s home, particularly in the temperate climate of Southern California, should be a retreat - a place of beauty, enjoyment, creativity and inspiration.
In December we made a point to visit Lauren and her family as well as finally see the shop. I couldn't help but snap a few photos while I was there. There seriously are so many treasures, especially for the well traveled eye or anyone looking for something that isn't seen at every other decor boutique. A must visit if you're in the area. Aside from the specialty one of-a-kind finds, locally made goods, and vintage items Dacha sells Cire Trudon, Soko Jewelry and Anna New York.
If you're interested in any of the items seen here you may give the shop a call
