Once again we’re embarking on another One Room Challenge. I have reservations about our ability to finish this time around, yet as always I’m excited to be participating. Week 1 kicks off with the design concept and before photos.
It’s here, the REVEAL! This tiny but mighty little jewel box can finally sparkle. I am so happy I decided to participate this year! It’s just the motivation we needed to complete this space.
After a week off to from the One Room Challenge, this week we were able to check off a few big items from the To-do List. With these items being completed, this room is really starting to come together.
This week is a little about all progress and a lot about the jib door we’re installing. It has been the topic of conversation at home and the major factor in the success of our completion of this project. Sounds silly to be so focused on a door, but this one design decision has impacted a lot of other decisions, and has created an domino effect.

As with all design, we want to create spaces that are interesting with a sense of depth to them. White and cream rooms can be very flat, however if focus is set on the subtle details, you can create a space that is both soothing and serene.
